Montana Sandoval, originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, moved to the Big Apple at 18 years old to pursue a career in Musical Theatre. She promptly started her training at The Institute for American Musical Theatre under the direction of Andrew Drost and Michael Minarik. She trained tirelessly in dance, acting, and singing. She was incredibly blessed to be able to train with the very best New York City has to offer such as Nicholas Cunningham, Deana Doyle, Richard J, Hinds, and many more.
Soon, Montana will be working with Matthew Hunt's dance project Kairos Dance. She will be dancing in the first of a six-part series to the the music of Dreamwork's "The Prince of Egypt."
Video coming soon....
Montana's favorite roles to date have been Diana Morales in "A Chorus Line" and getting to understudy Schwartz in "A Christmas Story." She was also recently seen in the Arts Center of Costal Carolina's production of "Elf: the Musical" and "In the Heights."
Montana was dancing before she could even walk. She has trained in tap, ballet, modern, jazz, Mexican Folklorico, Flamenco, ballroom, and even breakdance. She continues to seek out her love of dance whenever possible.
When she isn't pursuing her dreams she is working on earning her Bachelors degree in Mathematics at Mercy College. She also enjoys bullet journaling, running, finding fun scented candles, knitting, reading, and tutoring kids who find math boring and difficult.
She is currently based in Manhattan. She continues her training even through the COVID-19 pandemic.
